No, I'm too lazy and my dogs are doing great on the food I am feeding. Ooops, I just lost one in April so having a hard time remembering is is dog not dogs anymore.
You can check the websites I have below to research for a good dog food for your puppy till you get the raw down straight.
I recommend Canidae All Life Stages or Innova Adult. It is an all life stages food too.Dog Food Reviews - Innova Adult Dog Food Dry - Powered by ReviewPost

Will do! Right now it is just boiled chicken and rice, with yogurt. Ug. I am going to start adding the pumpkin in again once the stool is hard and he has adjusted to the chicken/rice mixture. After more research and a look in the stores we will begin to switch him over. Poor little guy has had such a rough two weeks and lost a lot of weight. On the bright side...still rocking like a rock star...hence the horrible puppy class...as Cookie would put it HE HAD THE ZOOMIES!

I have been keeping a journal since getting Jager so it wont be hard to keep you all updated...

THanks!

Boiled chicken, boiled brown rice and plain yogurt will help to get his system back on track. Canned (not pie filler) pumpkin helps as well and most Dobes love it!

Hope your little guy is feeling better soon. Watch that he's getting enough fluids. When Java had Coccidia, she wasn't her peppy self: that was my first clue that things weren't right.

I know I am chiming in really late on this thread but I went thought the same thing with my foster pup...I was pulling my hair out too!!

My foster came to me with diarrhea but he had his shots that same day so I suspected it had something to do with that. A day later he still had diarrhea so I put him on a chicken/rice diet and the diarrhea got worse. To make a long story short after 3 trips to the vet, 3 weeks of diarrhea, a normal fecal, antibiotics for a possible "bacterial" infection, a negative blood test to check for antibodies to giardia and 3 different foods it turns out the puppy is allergic to chicken. Who would have guessed that?!?! lol

The hoops our Dober-kids make us jump through!

Ps. I was laughing when I read your newer thread--rocks are an interesting dietary supplement!!

Yes, yes rocks are. I get to go through the torture tonight...down, no rocks, up...we have been practicing though on our driveway maybe it will be better. But your post gave me food for thought (um no pun intended) reagarding chicken. I hope he doesnt have an allergy to chicken as that is the main ingredient in the new food I bought until switching to RAW but the hamburger did seem to agree with him more....I will have to keep an eye on that!

Thanks!
