I'm no expert and am only repeating what I have read to be true on this site. Just wanted to be sure you knew that if your dog did walk around dry heaving with nothing coming up, that is an emergency, where he could die really, really fast, so you have to rush to any vet you can get to. If they are vomiting you have a little more time (unless they have eaten posion). Again, I'm so glad he is ok, I had a scare like this about a week ago myself but Thank God my boy is ok also. He was vomiting up everything and going to poop every few minutes, with only a little stringy stuff coming out. He had a blockage, but about 5 minutes before my husband pulled up to help me get him to the Vet, he passed the blockage and was like a new dog right away. I hosed it (what he passed) off to see what it was, get this $#!^, it was paper towels he took out of the garbage can. Based on advice I read here, I went and got a metal can with a lid which you step on a pedal to open. Sorry for the long post but it took me awhile to understand the difference of the symptoms between bloat and blockage and I wanted to be sure others understood, so if they see boat symptoms, they can run as fast as possible to the nearest Vet. | OMG! Cole is a paper towel fiend too! That boy will gobble down paper towels, napkins and tissues used or not.
