Are you a vet? I'm no vet, but I do know that steroids are not something you should fool around with, without guidance from a vet. You can't find quick and easy answers on the internet about serious health problems. I would bring my dog to the vet.

| When I was in my 20's, I was an all natural body builder. I also knew many guys who chose the "supplement" route. The supplements were Winstrol, dianabol, anadrol, to name a few. I always kringed at what they were doing to themselves....these guys would always shake and feel weak after taking it. I can't imagine that you would willingly self prescribe any kind of steroid to an animal. I don't mean to be condescending, but seriously, get a vet's advise.

| | Alpha | i hope your under a vets care (we=vet and you) kane trembled on prednisone, he also got really 'grumpy' (thats putting it nicely)
cushings is possible on steriods.so are uncommon reactions. i'd contact your vet.

| | Lil Dog | Misunderstanding!!!! I did not prescribe cortizone .My vet prescribed cortisone and antibiotics for his itching. I am sorry for misleading everybody.
I love my dog to death .I would never take chances with his health.I thank everybody for their sincere concern. |

| No problem, just be careful what you post here, as so many are very passionate about dobes(which is a good thing) and tend to jump all over you in times of confusion....

| Are you sure he is not having idopathic head tremors? Maybe he just happened to have one the same time as the steroids. Someone posted a video somewhere on here about (I meant to and never did. but I have one if you need to see it).
Is the rash bad enough to keep him on steriods. I would see if the good out weighs the bad or visa-versa. Good luck and keep us posted. |
