Kirklands fish oil capsules from Costco.. just drop two in with the morning kibble.

I was giving 2000mg of fish oil and 400iu of vitamin E per day. I just throw the capsules in the food.

Right now.....they aren't getting it, I am doing food only for a few months just to see how they do, but I am sure I will go back to the fish oil caps.

I've got my red girl on the EXACT same supplement plan, going on about 2 months now and the results are INcredible. She had some alarming coat issues going on when I got her from the shelter including flaking, dry skin, and some irritations or bumps on her shoulders. Today, she's soft and shiny; looks very much like a different dobie. I've had friends and relatives say "why, she's changed colors in a month's time!" I'm feeding her canidae als which she is doing quite well on too. I highly recommend fish oil and vitamin E

Yep it is! I love it and the doggies love it, too! I give it to all of them. My 15 year old Maltese Mix has built muscle, has less "bad days" (prob due to arthritis) and has increased energy now. I am really happy with the effects of this supplement.

I never really felt comfortable supplementing my dogs, but my friends recommended it and so I had to try it. Glad I did, now Lukas coat is always beautiful and though he is still young, has pretty decent muscle development considering his genetic background.

Also, since using the supplement his coat has reached a deeper red.

There are so many different supplements on the market it is hard to choose. Does this one have digestive enzymes in it as well? Right now I used solid gold sea meal, none of my dogs have coat problems, but I am always looking for something better or new.
I am also wondering how long a 15 pound container would last. I have 4 dogs as y'all know, ranging from 40 pounds to 89 pounds.

We use the Omega over here as well. 2 capsules per day for both dogs. My Mia will just take them like a treat! They also get some raw eggs per week (about 3-4) and that makes their coats GREAT!

I've had great success with costco omega3 fish oil. I plan to use it with my next dobe regardless of what food I feed or skin/coat condition because supplementing it has other health benefits. Sometimes I take a caplet in the morning too.

So I started giving 3V HP Snip Tip caps instead, and I like them much better

I use those also, after my vet put Arthur on them..They have made a huge difference in his coat.

May be used as an appetite enhancer
Is there anyone who has tried this??

Speaking of oil... a trick I learned from a breeder - California Almond Oil (NOT California Black Almond Oil) will darken red coats.
