| Switching to ProPlan I know how crazy that sounds to anyone who knows me, but yep.....it is true. Purina has offered to enroll my dogs in a food trial. They are sending an 18 wheeler to my house and dropping off 24 large bags of Pro Plan Selects (whatever variety I choose, I think I am going to go with the Salmon and Brown Rice), and Pro Plan Performance.
We will see how they do I am just about the biggest skeptic there is.......so you know I will be reporting back an honest evaluation as to how they do on it.
I will find out more next week as to when they will be dropping it off, and what I have to report back to them.
Wish us luck on our new food adventure haha.

| That's cool I'll be curious to know how they do on it.
How did Purina come to enroll you? Did you sign up for food trial studies? |

| | Alpha | I fed Pro plan Turkey and Barley for a long time. It's a good kibble for it's price range, IMO.

| if you want to ship us a few bags, Mr Quincy eat pro plan performance and selects (turkey/barley) He would make a good PR ad dog - he looks good. Pro Plan is actually one of the only kibbles we have found so far that he does well on overall - coat, poop, energy and even though he can be a picky eater, he eats it more consistently than anything else we've tried. |

| BackInBlack...
I would be very interested in seeing how they do, as I have had some issues with 5 to 6 star food lately.
Good Luck.

| I PROMISE to give you all an update as to how my dogs do on the food. I have always been very skeptical about Pro Plan. I know ALOT of people who feed it (especially Schutzhund people and Rottie people) I have never seen a dobe in person who ate Pro Plan though so I don't know how their coats look, smell, etc.
I know dobebug feeds it, and her fawn boy is gorgeous in photo's, so........that gives me hope
I think my biggest concerns are coat condition and muscle tone. Just an overall look of well being.
The Pro Plan Selects line of food looks to be decent, and I have heard good things about the performance also. So...I am willing to give it a go and see how they do.
Hmmmm............so you guys have fed the Turkey and Barley and had good results? The Purina rep recommended the Salmon one. I get to pick what I get, so maybe I will split it between the Turkey and Barley and Salmon. She said the Salmon is excellent for skin and coat.
I know someone on here said their Red dogs did better on one of them...but I cant remember which one. (I am thinking of Brownie) His coat is beautiful right now, but I would like to keep it that way
Has anyone ever fed the Salmon?
I am going to have at least a year's supply of dog food....so I want to make the right decision

| I've fed Pro Plan chicken and rice adult for many many years. My dogs have great coats and are always in great condition physically. I've also used Select, Performance and puppy from time to time. All of my dogs have done well on it. |
