Swollen ears?

OK, I'll point out first of all that this could be just hypochondria on my part, but it seems to me that Zac's ears are swollen this morning. He has beautiful, silky, natural ears but this morning they feel thicker. They don't seem to be irritating him but he has been shaking his head a lot this morning so I had a little look. The inside of the ears is fine, except the skin looks a little pinker, and they don't feel at all hot. They just feel much thicker in the flap part that hangs down. Am I going mad or could there be a genuine reason for this?

any other dogs? I had a dog get swollen ears long ago....It ended up not being a big deal.....I cant recall if it was another dog biting them??? or a bug bite. but it went away in 3-4 days.

Sorry I can't help you on the thick ears. I just wanted to comment on the way you described his ears, as silky. This is such a good description. Q has natural ears and he is so soft that I can't keep my hands off his ears. I love to rub my face on them also. He feels like a toy, he is so silky.
Good luck and keep us posted.
