I need some help...any vets on here have any ideas??

My girl started to loose some hair on her toes by her nails. She now won't leave her one foot alone. She lays down and throws it around like it has its own mind and will bite at it. It started getting better now it looks like it is getting worse again. It is getting red i think only because she keeps messing with it which I tell her no when I am around. It is hard to see from the pictures but it has little puffy spots on top of her toes and on the inside of her toes just the one foot right now is bad the other 3 look like its beginning there as well. Does any one know what this is? She has had mange several times in the past but it always started on her belly or under her skin. The rest of her body right now it fine.

Thank you!

Sounds and looks like Scabies {Sarcoptic mange mites}Symptoms, red bumps, scaly lesions with hair loss, and are extremely itchy. As this mite can temporarily infest people, do you or any memebers of your family have any red itchy bumps too?
Ivermectin by injection is an effective treatment.

No, no one in the family have been itchy or have any red bumps. Our other dog does not have any signs of it either.

Best to go in to your Vets and have them examine your girl and take a skin scraping. Please keep us updated.

I'd take her to the vet for sure and rule mange in or out. It might be allergies too.

What kind of surface do you have in your yard? How old is she? Does she have any other spots on her like this?

Looks most like an allergy with secondary infection, but could be contact irritation, mites(scabies or demodex) or just a bacterial pododermatitis (infection of the skin on the feet). Time to see your vet!

The yard is grass and wood chips. She does not have any other spots like that on her body. She just turned 1 in March. I have the mange medicine her and was going to give it to her. The vet gives a some some they don't have to keep charging us office visits since she has had it 4 times now. I was going to start giving it to her but it hasn't spread like mange or look like it has in the past.

Those might be irritating her, especially if they are cedar.

It could also be fungal, a scraping is the only way to sort it out. You likely have a secondary infection just from the repeated licking.

Please keep us posted. My collie used to get itchy bumps if he went in the grass to long.
