| Grass Grazers............ Both of our Dobies, Annie Oakley age 51/2 and Hawk 51/2months love to graze on our grass....somtimes right along with the horses. They have never thrown up as our last 2 did nor does is seem to affect any thing other than some grass in their stool.
Could this represent some deficiency in their diet ie: 500 mg vit c , yogert, and Canadae... |

| I have been wondering about that too. My little guy loves to pull out mouthfuls of grass - drives my husband crazy! |

| Rexx will chew on grass like a cow put to pasture - but is doing so less and less these past few weeks. Java never has done this, and they are fed virtually the same diet so maybe it's just a personal preference? |

| My boy Duke does the same thing but he likes to do it after the lawn has been mowed. I dont know if he thinks the clumps of grass are balls or something...???
My girl not so much so maybe it does just depend on the dog??? |

You are right that they graze more in the early spring - and again in the fall. I have a picture of the whole litter AND Mom AND Great Auntie Velma grazing

| All of mine have been grazers. They also think the dirt is tasty as well.

| I keep saying mine are part cow, they graze all the time, Rex digs thru the snow to get at it- and there is no lacking their diets, they eat better than most people I know. and they don't limit themselves to grass, my poor burning bushes took a hit and when Grace was a pup she ate all the echinacia out of the gardens (never had a cold!)
now the only thing with the grazing is when it comes out the other end, not my fav sight to see stuff hanging and them trying to figure out what to do.

| So glad to see this thread... I was starting to worry about Duke and his grass eating habits, but after seeing this thread, I see he's not the only one! |
