Patrooper will become famous soon enough
singleton pup

What problems, if any, can I expect with a singleton pup?

I had this question in the puppy forum, thought I would try in the health dept.

Pup weighed 23ozs. The breeder is high quality breeder. My last dobe came

from them so I have no concerns with them. Maybe the pup will have the

intelligence of 6 dobes,lol.

the lack of litter interaction and early social learning. Puppies learn how to interact with littermates, how to play, bite inhibition etc. So the breeder and you will have to make up for this with early handling and interaction. I would suggest getting the pup as early as practicable and be diligent to acclimate him to daily life noises, people, other household pets (?), etc. I knew a singleton bitch and she was a great dog. I guess it boils down following all the BKMs and rules for raising a pup the right way.
