Question Avocado Pit??

So Obie ate a Avocado pit, not the fruit, just the seed. Chewed it up pretty good, all i found was pieces. I google it and there are mixed opinions of toxic or not toxic, My vet said it's more the plant leaves that are toxic and he may have an upset stomach but shouldn't have more than that.

Has anyone had this happen before?

I know that the avacado seed is toxic to parrots. I don't know about dogs, but I would call the aspca hot line and find out. Also check the archives here, there may be a mention of toxic fruit.
