| Canidae being sold rumor? I read on a different forum that Canidae may be bought by Diamond. Have any of you heard this? Should I be concerned/worried? I am going to email each company and see if I get a response. I don't have a problem with Diamond. I use to feed Chicken Soup and never had a problem. I also know that a few on here feed their Taste of The Wild with good results. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks! |

| I know Canidae has made a few ingredient changes, but I haven't heard anything about them selling. I can't say for certain that they're not, though.

Hopefully I will get a correct answer. I'll keep everyone posted on what they tell me. I know a few dogs on here don't tolerate Canidae well, but mine do great on it, and I hate to have to change their food, but I will if I have to. |

| I would also be very interested in knowing this. I switched Baron to Canidae ALS shortly after we adopted him. The person we got him from had him on Pro Plan Chicken/Rice and he was very gasey and had huge and many poops. My Dax was on Pro Plan her whole life with no problems but ended up with cancer (not saying it was from the Pro Plan). But, we thought we were feeding a good product at that time. After doing lots and lots of research, I decided on the Canidae ALS and Baron is doing great on it. His coat is just beautiful. Very soft and silky. Hopefully, they won't be sold. Because usually when that happens the product always changes. Thanks. Lois |

Mine have been fine on it, and I have a friend who feeds it and his thrive on it. I emailed them about changing formulas, and they said that they are only changing the Lamb one "right now", so who knows if they are going to change their other's later? I am going to call them in when they open at 9:30 Pacific time, and ask a few questions. I've also noticed that the kibble in the new bag I opened a few days ago looks different in color, is not as tight (if that makes sense), and it has more of a fishy smell to it, and they don't gobble it up like they usually do. I thought they were just tired from being at my parent's a few days from running in their yard, but they have not been that tired since we've been home. Their poop is normal though and they are acting fine. |

| Interesting. I hope if any changes are made they are for the better of things. I feed ALS too, but if anything changes for the worse I will probably switch foods.

| You can go to their web site, and it tells why they are changing the Lamb formula. It says something like the rise of price in certain commodities, such as rice is the reason for the change. The new one still has brown rice, but now it has some other grains, I'm guessing that's so they don't have to use as much rice. But all of their formulas have rice, so it sounds to me like they may change all of them later, but obviously I'm NO expert! I don't want to change, but I may change to regular Innova if I HAVE to. I'll let everyone know what they say after I talk to them later today. |

| Very interesting. Canidae has also upped their prices recently. Merrick is also upping their prices. I guess everyone is.....everything is getting more expensive!

They would both look good with doberman ties around their necks. |
