| Is watermelon okay? Athena goes nuts when I cut up a watermelon, I think I must have dropped a piece or something the first time I cut one up around her...
Is there anything wrong with her having a couple pieces of watermelon every once in a while? What about a strawberry? Is there any fruit she shouldn't eat? |

| Watermelon, cantaloupe, apples (no seeds), oranges, bananas are fine. Check out the dogaware site I have below for foods your dobe shouldn't eat. |

| I think grapes/raisins are the only no no with fruit. Cinny loves fruit.

| It's probably fine, in moderation of course. See if you can get the seedless variety, and maybe feed the rind/white part instead of the sugary meat.

| | Alpha | I think it's fine, but in moderation like most things. It contains Vit. C I believe.... but don't feed the seeds, just in case.

| My old girl back in the '70's loved watermelon and ate the seeds too. Never had any problems. You can take the seeds out if it worries you.
My girl would quit eating when she got to the rind, can't imagine one eating the rind, it doesn't taste any good. |

| Feeding Watermelon in moderation is not an issue. However, keep in mind the fluid content in Watermelon. If you have a DoberGirl with urinary incontinence, the risk of leaking is increased when you give them watermelon.
