| Tucker's first echo As many of you know, I'm a senior vet student. For my first clinical rotation, I ended up on Cardiology (soooo much fun!!!!). We had a slow day yesterday, so some of us (the students on the rotation) brought in our own dogs to practice performing echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound). Poor Tucker - mama made him lay down for 30 minutes while we all practiced imaging his heart. He's totally normal. In fact, one of the cardiologists pointed out to the rest of the group that we should really listen to him, because he's one of the rare normal dogs that come through cardiology. It was great to compare 'normal' to all the other problems that we see.
So he's totally normal, as anticipated. But it was fun to actually get to perform the echo myself. However, I'm learning that I need stronger hands - once that ultrasound probe gets covered in gel, it's hard to hold on to!

| Cool It's neat to do stuff like that on your own animals. Good to hear he's a model of normal! |

| Good to hear that Tucker is fine in the cardio department. What a great pup to withstand that procedure when he didn't have to!!!! I hope he got lots of treats!!
