| | Alpha | 12 Eggs !!!!!!!! i came across a friend who has a dobe who is 2 years old,
i am somewhat amazed at what he feeds,
He says he feeds 6 Eggs mixed with Rice in the morning and the same in the evening and he give beef or chicken boiled for 10-15 mins mixed with rice twice a week,
also supplements with some fish and multivitamin tonic,
is feeding 12 eggs a day good for a dobe, that dobe looks fantastic |

| wow, i would of thought 12 eggs a day for any animal or human would NOT be good.. but im no expert??
i think a balanced diet is best.. not sure but i dont think it has enough variety to be balanced.
but hey if he is healthy and looks good.. every dobe is different !!

| I do not profess to be an expert by any means, but that doesn't sound like a particularly balanced meal plan. Are the eggs raw or cooked? Does he include the shell? The boiled beef/chicken - does that include bones? Does he include organ meat? What about veggies - sounds like he's relying totally on vitamin supplements for Vitamin C, A, etc., that you would get from the addition of ground veggies. This meal program sounds very heavy in protein and starch.

| even on raw diets you don't give them 12 eggs a day! they are a good protein source but more variety is needed. that feeding plan doesn't sound good to me.

| | Alpha | I would worry about balance feeding my dog like that.... And if the eggs were raw, we would have serious problems with cannon "bu**".

| Does he feed this way because he can't get high quality dog food or raw meat and bones? His dog is young and it can take a long time to see what an unbalanced diet can cause, sometimes you can't see the damage because it is causing internal problems and could shorten the dogs life. It is like humans, we can get away with alot when we are young, smoking, drinking, eating junk...but once you hit around 40 years old...forget about it....all of those poor choices catch up with you.
