| Food Question For Romeo? Mcdonalds Or Burgerking? I have been feeding Romeo (Rating on hihis food now) ----> Natures Recipes and also cooking Rice + Chicken + Fresh Veggies, but his stomach goes haywire sometimes he has good stool sometimes he has loose stool. I decided to stick with a food that has enough meat so I don't have to supplement his dog food with it.
Now here is my dilemma I have been reading allot on these dog foods and cant decide on whats best for him? I know that anything that I will buy he will adjust to it. But whats the most important ingredients vitamins etc.. for a Doberman Pup?
Here are my choices for his food. Dog Food Reviews - Orijen Puppy Large - Powered by ReviewPost Dog Food Reviews - Horizon Legacy Puppy - Powered by ReviewPost |

| both look good, but you might want to skip puppy and go to adult while you are making the change, one less change later on and puppy food isn't necessary. Natures recipe isn't as good as what you are looking at.

| Adult food is fine, as long as it is good quality. Both of the foods you listed are good quality, but just be careful changing to one of those. Because of the high protein content in those do a VERY slow transition to avoid diarrhea. I use Canidae and Nature's Variety with good results. I tried Innova Evo, and did a very slow transition, and it gave all of my dog's explosive diarrhea, so I had to go back to the two I am using now. I sometimes give raw or home cook for them to. I also add yogurt in the morning, and every once in awhile I will add cooked hamburger and other meats to their kibble. It doesn't hurt to add things as long as it's healthy, but too much of that can create a picky eater to. Mine will eat whether it's raw, cooked, or just kibble. Just remember the most important thing is to feed whatever YOUR dog does BEST on. Good luck, and let us know how things go. |

| When I feed kibble, I feed Orijen and my dogs thrive on it. I think it's high end quality kibble. My dogs do well on it. My breeder also feeds it. I haven't heard any negative feedback about the food. |

I use Orijen's puppy kibble. really excellent kibble, and I use it as treats when I run out of home-baked liver treats. |
