Yes I have e-mailed them wanting to know if the Peticure would work on my LH Doxie & my Dobe. Have not ordered one $49.00 + not sure where I could use one since I can not get on the floor to use it.Sounds like it would work all it is a Dremal with a guard on it so you can use it on Hairy dogs. Had a regular Dremal when I had my Bouviers did not work well would rip the hair out panty hose did not work to keep the hair out either.

I have the guard
Peticure Safe Guard

unfortunately I can not use it.
I have a dremel 285 which fits the'200 series'
but the speed is 15,000-35,000 rpms, I admit I did not check this before ordering, just that the model number would work
when I emailed the company to advise them that the speed of the 285 was too high and they should note so where it says what it works with (like right under where they just told you it would work with the 200 series)
and to ask if it could still be used if one only touched one nail for a sec then went to the next. The problem with speed from reading other stuff online is that it gets too hot to the dog.

They never replied so I am a bit leary of the speed.

If you order just the cover make sure your dremel will fit the cover (does not fit my cord free dremel) AND that the rpm is not too high.
---------------------
DO NOT USE MORE THAN 10,000 RPMS WITH ANY ROTARY TOOL! 5,000 RPMS IS RECOMMENDED;

The PETICURE™ Safe Guard is made to fit the following Dremel® Rotary Tools

• 100 Series Rotary Tool
200 Series Rotary Tool
---------------------

It does seem like it would be great for long coated breeds to prevent hair wrapping, and on squirmy dogs to keep them from bumping the side of the paper/bit gouging a nail. Also if you have a dog that tries to put his nose in the way it keeps the dogs nose from bumping the sharper edges or latching teeth down on the sanding paper.

I'll just have to buy a 3rd dremel to find out.

seen the site before, from another dobe list, but no one gave any feedback. I just use my very old dremmel with no problems.

Java has had her nails Dremeled since she was a very young pup. She knows the 'drill' and will literally jump into DH's lap for her pedi-pedi before he even gets a chance to sit on the floor. Always gets a special treat reserved for 'pedi time'.

I've also ordered a Peticure, so I'll let you know. Apparently there were some problems in the past with the battery not holding a charge but I've heard the problem has been corrected.
