Thanks for this. A friend's older bouvier contracted this a few years ago. He was very, very sick, and it was touch and go for a while. And as the article says, treatment was very expensive.

Always so much to worry about!

If I'm not mistaken, this is what a friend's gsd died from in the '70's. Back then, there was not a lot that could be done. There was a shot of something, but it could only be given once and if that didn't cute it he dog would eventually die. Horrible stuff!

Could have sworn I read this was what Dolph von Tannenwald had passed from at that time, but then read a couple of years ago it was cancer, so not sure now.
