Well, with folks like Irina (and others I can think of) it TAKES a lot.
Ah, the eloquent, well-written Irina.
I can't tell you how many long rants she has posted here, detailing what an absolutely fabulous dog person and superduper awesome breeder she is.
When it's pointed out that she mostly just seems to produce puppies and import more and more dogs, and that her numbers are way out of hand--well, she always has a nineteen paragraph long answer for all that.
Many people have, for a long time, tried to point out all the red flags with Canis Maximus/Irina Barrett, but many times it seems the warnings have fallen on deaf ears.
In fact, like some of the larger puppy producers who have been/or still are members here--there are always those staunch supporters who come on clamoring about all the "bashing," and how mean and "elitist" we all are here.
Well, if it means I want dogs to have some semblance of a normal life, with adequate and even decent, good care, hells yeah I'm an "elitist."
I'm so sick of how sometimes the internet puts folks up on pedestals, when in reality, the folks singing the praises of these people don't even almost know what the actual conditions are in real life, or what the dogs' lives might be like, in reality.
I have had a gut radar sick feeling about CMax for ages and ages.
Omg this completely disgusts me. I too hope someone called CPS to check on the welfare of her children if she thinks it is ok to treat her dogs like this.
She will talk her way out of that, too, even if there are issues.
She is telling humane authorities what they want to hear, lying, shuffling dogs around, making hurried cleanup efforts, and so forth, but guarantee you she will not go out of "business" nor change her spots so easily.
This is who she is.
