| Breeders in Ca, Or, Nv, Wa, Ut, Az I am sure you guys hear this question all the time,
I know because I have been reading every thread I can find to try and compile a list of decent breeders in the Western states.
I went to the AKC website and the DPCA website and the huge majority of the links they have listed are to breeders that no longer breed.
I was going to buy one for about $700 from a backyard type breeder (who breeds albinos) but I found this website and learned alot and decided I would rather not support someone who is possibly doing damage to my favorite breed of dog.
With all that said I don't necessarily need a show dog, or a dog with champions and titles just a healthy Doberman with a preferably European background.
I will definitely be willing to travel to any of the states listed in the subject line.
So far Ive got
landgraf, luka, incredible dobes, irongate(which i cant find anywhere)
so if you know any good breeders or rescues I would appreciate it,
sorry for the long post I just wanted to try and cover all my bases
thank you |

| Please first take a look at these threads if you haven't and especially the last two, they really explain why titles and testing are necessary even if you want "just a pet". Quality isn't just there, it needs to proven. Reputable breeders - for new folks Cost of having a litter of puppies.... Locating a reasonable, reputable, breeder
That being said this is a list of all the euro breeders in the U.S. some are show line some are working some are a combo...the states are listed for what I know. Quote:

| Thank you for doing your research! I think you have a good starting list. You can email Eve Auch from Irongate - her email address is on the DPCA breeders list. I chatted with her over email a few months ago and found her to be very responsive and informative. I find it helpful to talk with breeders either by phone or email to see if you "click" with them and like what they are doing in their breeding programs. When you buy from a good breeder you are also getting a lifetime of breeder support, so you want to make sure you and the breeder mesh well. My breeder is an invaluable source of information and support.

| thank you both for the information, i read through those threads and visited all the websites off that list that were applicable to my location (Northern California) and I feel I am on my way.
I've been looking at so many breeders I cant even keep them straight maybe I need to make a spread sheet or something. I will keep doing research and contacting these breeders until the right match comes up I suppose. |

Notice how they don't list full pedigrees? (one of Kimbertal's marketing tactics). The information they do list is indicative enough though...
Fergie: sired by Imperator Iran Di Altobello
Fendi: sired by Imperator Iran Di Altobello
Sammy: sired by Eros Esmerald Di Altobello
Latte: sired by Sierra Dobie Farms "Trader"
Bishop: no sire listed, grand sire only Wiking Di PerLanera
Bodie: sired by Britton Farms Dark Angel "Athos"
Research some of the dogs / kennels listed above (Kimbertal, Sierra Dobie Farms, & Britton Farms) and you'll see why most people here are going to tell you to continue looking elsewhere.

| Euro greeder eh?
That's a shame they have some pretty dogs. If only they would take the extra few steps to do it the right way it seems they could get the support of the entire community. It sucks because maybe they honestly don't know, and I don't want to be the one to tell them they are doing it wrong I hardly know anything about breeding dogs.
But I suppose if you haven't done full research you shouldn't be breeding. Idk like I said I don't know it all so I can't condemn them.
Hank your location says norcal where did you/would you get a euro doberman around here |

| If they are breeding dogs from Kimbertal/Altobello lines, they most likely just care about $$$
I would probably look at Kansa, Incredible, vom Landgraf. But I haven't really researched euro lines much.
I wanted working lines for a while but after looking at so many breeders/types of dogs I decided my next doberman will be a Foxfire dog.
