| Anyone bought a puppy from Sharsell Farms in GA? I was looking online for a Doberman and came across a website with Sharsell Farms as a breeder. I was wondering if anyone has bought a puppy from her and if so, how is the dog's temperament and health? Thank you. |

| That's what I was thinking also, PorshaLei, especially with how cheap they are and the multiple litters they have a year. Thanks guys! |

| Sighhh...this just gets sooo tiring to see all the substandard breeders pumping out those little innocent lives.
Charging $100 more for dilutes...the very ones an owner is going to more than likely be hotfooting to the vet often anyway.
And they're so proud of their little farm with stalls and paddocks for all the dogs... |

| Yup. Puppy farming.
Wish they'd stick to a soybean crop instead.

| OP, take a read through here: Reputable breeders - for new folks. That should help you get an idea of what makes a good breeder. We'd be happy to refer you to some breeders in your area. Are you in Georgia? Looking for a family pet, or do you have plans to show your dog, do sports...?

| Start with the DPCA Breeder's Referral. There are a number of good breeders in both Florida and Georgia. Off the top of my head; In Florida: Marquis, Alpha, Carosel. In Georgia: Adamas, Pamelot, Demira. I believe all of these have websites. Just Google.
You will also want to do your research. Dobes are a pretty unhealthy breed and you need to be very careful who you purchase from. Your best odds for a pup that will live a long, healthy life is to purchase from a breeder that fully health tests and breeds for longevity.
Welcome to DT. Good luck with your search and do come back and ask questions, chances are we can save you a good deal of heartache.
