Florida Doberman Breeders
What's up everyone! I currently live in Florida and I've been doing some research on Doberman's for a while now. I checked out DPCA and saw that there are 31 Doberman breeders on there in the state of Florida. DPCA seems like a good place to stick with but can be overwhelming because of all the breeders. My question is, if you were about to buy a Doberman would you do research on all 31 breeders listed on there? If not are there certain criteria that you would look for when viewing the websites? I'm in no rush as I ultimately want to make the right decision since my Doberman will be a part of my family for a very long time. I want to stick with finding a Doberman in Florida, so I can go to the breeder and check out their dogs and home before I make a purchase. Sorry if this might be kind of redundant but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

Call and email if you're in the state check out the Doberman Dog Clubs and who do they like as breeders...do your homework. I've been blessed to know several and help with their litters Take your list and go to check them out that's part of the learning process

I think there are a number of good breeders out there, but I am not as familiar with that side of the country.
Check out this thread to help you sift through the breeder.

If I was in your position I'd go to every website listed for that state and start getting rid of the breeders whose sites had "red flags" (things you don't like). Then, contact the breeders that you end up keeping on the list. Also, look for dog shows in your area and go to a few so that you can meet breeders and see some of their dogs in person.
