Here's what "Champion Warlock Bloodlines" produces...

Don't know how to get the picture on by itself, but here's a link I came across...

AKC Doberman Puppies | Sedalia | eBay Classifieds (Kijiji) | 25113349

I'm not into confirmation or showing or anything of the sort, don't even have my own dobe puppy yet, but even I can tell that there is something seriously wrong with this puppy.

I worked at an emergency vet clinic for 7 years, and it's amazing what people will fall for. This puppy reminds me of a family who "bought" a lab who, in their opinion, looked extra-adorable. A few days after bringing it home, it started having seizures. 10 weeks old. When they brought it in, it was obvious that the puppy was not normal. Turns out it had hydrocephalus and was referred to a specialist. For those of you not familiar with the condition, babies can get it too. It is a buildup of extra fluid in the empty spaces of the brain, and if not treated quickly, leads to extreme pressure on the brain tissue and severe brain damage (hence the seizures). Here these people are, spending money to buy a "healthy" puppy, trusting some idiot breeder who KNOWS that this puppy is not right. Thankfully they loved the dog enough to go to that specialist and to take care of him even with his special needs. Not everyone is willing to do that though... hoping this puppy doesnt end up in a bad place if his owners find he's not quite the dog they were looking for...

If people refuse to do even some minimal digging on the internet they get what they deserve. It's not all the bybs' doing. I used to feel sorry for the new owners who got taken but anymore I see them as responsible for the problem.

Ya, can definitely agree with that. It wasn't all that hard for me to find this site, I was just looking to get my Doberman fix by googling pictures and started reading what people were saying on the threads. I tend to do a lot of research on things I'm going to be making a "large" investment in though, and to me, $500 is still a good chunk of anyone's paycheck! Not to mention the emotional investment you put into a pet. Would break my heart if something happened to him that was avoidable... especially as a result of getting him from a sub-par breeder...

It's just too bad that unsuspecting people who just want a doberman dog as a pet don't understand that these dogs have such high health issues. Alot of people I think search the right way and ask questions before buying, but they don't go that extra mile before purchasing a puppy. Others just buy cuz they are selling em cheap and are local. The flip side of the coin, is: what do you do? Here are puppies who need a loving home now, they don't understand and did not ask to be brought into this world, they just want love. The breed that really concerns me though, are the pit bulls. Where I live, they are plentiful and you always see these sleezy guys with their pants hanging off their butts and a long chain dangling walking a male intact pit. So you know they are having puppies out the wazooooo and then you wonder why so many get turned in to the shelter or hear of dog bites. Not only does that do harm for that breed, but the cities can and will prohibit bully breeds like pits, and rotts, dobermans, shepherds etc. just cuz of that. If the day came that I was told I couldn't have a certain type of dog, I think, that would be the day I would have to move!

As long as there are idiots who are too lazy to do some homework or too cheap to buy a well bred dog there will be these puppies produced for that market. The real victims are the puppies and the breeding stock. If the bybs get stuck with a puppy/s that now costs them money they'll dump it at a shelter and hopefully the puppy will find its way into rescue.

Who is actually the more responsible for the situation? The byb or the fools that buy from them? One can't exist without the other.
