Element Dobermans in WI?

Have any of you heard of them?

I am looking to add a Doberman to my family in the near future, have read some threads about breeders here in MN and the lack of good ones. I found Element Dobermans in WI and from what I can see they seem to be good ones and want me to call to talk about purchasing a puppy from the litter that is being planned for next year. So that seems like a good sign to me. I did see a thread about MOA Dobermans being a good breeder, also in WI and will check them out.

I just want to make sure I find a good breeder as I have not had good luck with dogs in the past and would really like my next one to be a normal dog. Seeing as the only normal dog I've had,(still have, will be 10 the 22nd of this month) came from a reputable breeder, I want to find a reputable Doberman breeder to avoid the potential for a problem dog.

Thanks for your advice.

Looks like they have some nice dogs (they have some Bruda dogs and I really love Bruda dogs) and are doing things 'right'. I can't see any immediate red flags on their site that would cause me to avoid them and I've not heard anything about them at all - good or bad.

From what I can tell, I'd keep them on my short list for now if I were you.

Wow, is this really a second thread in one night asking about not crap BYB breeders? I'm impressed.

Looks like they title and health test. If you are looking for a well built healthy show line companion, then not much more to ask for. The Bruda dam of Cajun also appears on the bred for longevity list, which is always a good sign.

Just wanted to add good luck on your search. Are you looking for more breeder recommendations in case she does not work out? If so, might want to post your location (although I assume its WI) and what you are looking for in your next dog.

Element is one of the few reputable breeders in Wisconsin, she tests and titles, and her dogs always tend to draw my eye at shows.

Wisconsin also offers MOA, A-List, Hart O the north, (though she breeds rarely from what i've heard) and HQ all with equally as beautiful dogs, my personal choice is A-List but we all have our own likes.

Please stay away from brokenoaks, thundervalley, and rainbowhaus among others.

There is at least one A-list owner on here with a young dog, unsure of user name though.

Broken Oaks Dobermans - WI

this thread has thinks to all of the above and below recommended wiscosin breeders or at least contact info as well as a bit of info on why tests/titles are necessary

Abadie Dobermans is also a good choice in WI. HQ just had a litter on Halloween so I'm not sure if she'd have anything early 2013.

Leah and Denise co-bred my first Doberman, Ilsa. This was back when they were just starting out in the breed, and Sandi (Bruda Dobermans) was mentoring them.

Cajun is Kaylee's half-sister (and her mom Paris was Ilsa's half sister.)

Thanks for all the replies. I am in MN and though there are a couple breeders I've seen talked about as being good and I am willing to wait to get a good, quality dog, I don't want to wait super long to get a puppy. So I would rather look out of state where there are more good, quality breeders to better my chance of getting a puppy in the first half of next year.

I pretty much just want a pet/companion dog. Maybe do obedience trials down the road, but just a healthy, happy, friendly, normal dog is what I'm looking for in the end.

Bolding mine-

Then you're definitely looking at the right breeders for just that. People don't seem to realize that a breeder who cares about the breed wants to give them just that - and that purchasing from someone with the breed in mind works in their favor. Plenty of us here just got our Dobes to be surrogate kids... I mean as companions, and bought from breeders like the ones you are looking at (I myself got my own girlface from Foxfire, whose praises I can't sing loud enough). I'm glad to see you're on the right track!

My boy is from Element and I highly recommend them. Denise truly cares about her dogs, great temperaments and nice conformation. She is there for her puppy owners and has been very supportive of me as an owner handler. If you have any more questions please feel free to contact me.

I have an A-List pup. I also know people with Element dobes. Both breeders are very dedicated about showing and having quality dogs.

Although I do not own an A list Doberman, I have known Denise and Chelsea for many years , and have interacted with both their adults and puppies . Their dogs have great temperments , pretty to look at and well socialized with kids. Does the health testing and very active in showing her own dogs.
Very supportive of their puppy buyers and easy to talk to.
I would strongly recommend them!!!!!
