The greeder, Alan E Ott, just posted this rant on many various Doberman Facebook groups- I think he has allot of nerve after looking at his website.

"(STOP BREEDING DOBERMANS) Ok hope i got your attention!!If you are not breeding tested vet checked heathy dobies from this day forward I will do anything in my power to shut your breeding down.Because if your not dna vwd and heath testing you don't deserve to be breeding period.Making money off of your dogs without putting back into them is not right,your breeding unhealthy dobies that usually end up in the shelter or worse they are put down and thrown away like garbage.If you say you care about the Dobermans you need do it right or I will put your name out there were nobody well ever buy another doberman from you.one way or another you will do it the way it should be done or stop and have your dogs fixed,This is a personal vendetta that i will never stop i am sick and tired of seeing these dogs abused and put down.If you love them like i do this will not piss you off.if it does! good!do something about it.If any one whats to be friends with me and help this cause please to so.if your one of my friend all ready and don't agre with this remove your sorry ass self from my friends list right know. Any and all breeding should be done with this in mind.Any breeding practices no matter what breed should include complete health testing,Dna,Vwd,color and coat testing.parents and puppies should be microchiped and tested to prove they are from the parents they claim to be from.A,K,C does not have strict enough rules to prevent this kind of breeding.That is why there are a countless Dobermans out there that are not what they claim them to be. They are Making millions off of Dogs and puppy Mill dogs.It seems that money is more important to them than the heath and well being of the Doberman..Over the years there is no telling how many dobies were registered with another persons papers,Puppy papers that the breeder said they had ten pups and had only 6,People asking do you have a extra A,K,C, registration paper i would like to have my dobie A.K.C.registered THE rules are to slack and nobody will admit to cheating the system.Just as long as both parents are registered the pups can be to.Doesn't matter if there breed brother to sister,sick,carriers of known defects or worse.This is BULLSHIT.We have millions of are dogs killed every year because we make up some excuse why we don't want them any more and turn them into a high kill shelters.Most people don't need a dog,don't know how to treat one right,don't realize how much work goes into just making a dog balanced,healthy and happy.I believe we need to stop all breeding in the united states and ether make A.K.C.change the rules and make it harder to register a litter of puppies or start a new kennel club that will do it the right way for the dogs and us.New Beginnings kennel Club would be one.Until this is put in place all breeding most be stopped during that set time the only dog you could get would be from a licensed rescue. The licensed rescue agency would have to abide by the new role of screening adopters before they can adopt a dog.Surrendering a dog to a pound or shelter should not be so easy ether, this is a life we are talking about here the shelter should get as much info on the persons and pet being surrendered as possible and try and talk them out of it.Should make them sign the papers to complete this process.Make them sign a paper that they will have to return and watch there pet be put down and thrown away like garbage if it is not adopted out.Please comment and lets do something that is right for the poor Dobies we love so much,It will not change on its own we are going to have to fight for it and don't buy anymore dogs until it is straightened out.If you do buy a dobie remember what i said above go to a reputable breeder that cares about the breed and does all the right test to prove it.Or just rescue a Dobie theres plenty out there waiting for a another chance on life.Thanks Alan Ott Doberman Acres of Georgia"

What a bizarre mix of a tiny bit of what's right....and BUCKETS of what's wrong.

"The thing that is the hardest is puppies are like a human babies they have to be taught to be what you would like them to be" Okay, I dig that. And they several times over say "rescue, rescue, rescue", and they have info against Dogfighting.

But, what is "coat and color testing"? A.K.C. White Dobermans? "We except Walmart Money Grams, Pay Pal payments on our Website and cash only!! ", "We will only breed healthy vet checked Dobermans. We have been around Dobermans all of our lives and love the breed." (but no mention of testing other than VwD). Their pictures are also divided between "backyard dobies" and "front yard pack". Oh, and "are sold". They sell pups on full registration, and "cropping is cruel", but they do ship (a thing I personally dislike, obviously this one varies by situation).

I thought the same thing. I want to scream every time I see a white doberman breeder, it's careless, it's irresponsible, it's downright cruel.

That and as a web designer myself, I want to bang my head every time I see a poorly designed site. Large florescent text, background music, tiled background...every time I open a site like that I immediately close it. No matter if the breeder is good or not, just screams unprofessional before even delving into if the breeder is legit or not.

"A letter we posted on face book when someone told us that we had enough dogs,and didn't need to rescue another one. I know it sounds like we have a lot of dogs but we love them and can handle more.We are having three fixed in the beginning of the month.we have a big 4 bedroom home on ten acres, that in just 3 months from being paid in full.All of our dogs are inside pets they sleep with us or on a couch or chair .they have a endless food boul and fresh water,2 vets we use if anything is found wrong with them.They have 2 dogie doors one in the front yard one in the back that are large fenced in areas to play and can run wide open if they like to.they go out and in anytime they wish to.They also eat with us what we eat they always line up after and get there fair share,We raised 8 kids have 15 grandkids and a great grand daughter i think we would know what we can do and what we cant when it comes to the dogs we love.We are in the process of starting a rescue,foster facility. our plans will have a small 10x10 cottage with heat and air and a couch or bed to sleep on and a big fenced run for each pair of dobies.our plans are for finding homes for each pair a male and female that are fixed and love each other and would like to spend their life with each other.They must pick each other under close supervision untill we are sure they are sleeping next to each other,eating out of the same food bowl and doesn't like to be separated from each other.they can be rescued, surrendered,breed doesn't matter.they have to be a least a year old with no health issues.doest matter if there registered or not no paperwork will be given on the pair,they must look like a full blooded dobie.doent matter of color or size or age they just have to look like they are a least one year old or more.We will be rescuing dobies all across the south,with some help in transporting we will be rescueing from the northern states too.Me and my wife can walk up to any dobie we have ever met with in a few minutes and have them eating out of our hand,petting them,them licking us,We have had friends tell us to come and meet there dobies,when we got there its always watch out,don't go in the fence,he or she don't like anybody.We have allways went sraight up to them and they licked our face, we pet them and play with them the owner usually cant believe it.We like to go looking at puppies for sale in our area.The same goes with them before are ready to leave we could take the pups and the parents and help them in our car and take them home with us.We have bought puppies for high dollar that we went to look at that was living outside with diseases,very small and about close to death,we have picked the smallest worst one and brought them home and there still with us today.If we re-home a dobie it was because we didn't have a choice.We had 3 dobies for a long time and a friend told us that we needed to take a white pit named skittle because she was taking her to the dog pound.We took her in she was so happy here with us but the dobies did not like her.We had blood baths in my house around my wife and kids and was very violent and hard to break up,i got bit stopping dogs fights. But when i was at work was my wife and kids supposed to jump in and get bit or worse?skittles went to a real nice home where they love her to death.I have learned a lot over the years and i think we could have kept her with some training on all the dogs parts and our own.She is gone and we all miss her.My wife is heart broken and said she was almost human and will never feel a bond like that with no other dog as long as she lives.You do what you think you have to do.cant go back and change it. I hope this helps explain were we are coming from.The kids are almost grown the youngest is 16 and we are going to do something to help the breed we love.If for some reason you don't like it .Well i really will not lose any sleep over it. I heard about this on FB. This is very sad for the children to have this happen in their family. It will leave a scar for life on those kids. I feel bad for all concerned.

I'm trying to keep dibs on that the best I can via FB. From what I've heard through the grapevine his wife has no intention of turning the dogs over to a reputable rescue (that was suggested to her- not by me though). But her fellow "white" Doberman breeder friends are willing to step up and help her "rehome" the dogs should she decide to part with them All I can say is keep those poor dogs in your prayers.

You know who I feel sorry for? The two Sheriff's Deputies who he pointed the gun at and who saw their lives flash before their eyes. Both deputies are on paid leave pending investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. They both have to live with the fact that they were forced to discharge their weapons and shoot someone, and the one Deputy has to live with the fact that he fatally shot someone. I am sure that they will both be scared for the rest of their lives as well.

According to his obituary Calhoun Times - Alan Eugene Ott Mr. Ott had quite a large family. I think its a shame that apparently no one was able to convince him to get the help he so desperately needed before he became such a threat to his family, community and law enforcement.

Oooh yeah, you bet they will ever so happily rehome the breedable white dobermans!!! Poor dogs!

This was a horrible thing to happen, especially for the children involved as said in another post.

Guys like this, there is just not much hope for as they seem to have a self destruct wish. It shows in other ways, too, but you have to be close to them to see the extent of it...like a wife. They also have narcissistic tendencies...HUGE ONES.
