Nantom Dobermans

Hi all,

Great site, I've been researching breeders for the past while and I've come across Nantom Dobermans in Ontario. Has anyone had any experience with them?

Any help is great,

Thanks

There isnt alot of info on thier site. Nothing that screams run away. I would email them and ask about health testing. The one bitch they have mentioned is missing some.

Good that you are doing research!

Not sure if you are interested, but, if you get the chance, please check out a few Rescue Doberman in your area.

Thanks.

Good luck with your search for just the right Doberman!

Thanks,

I've considered getting a rescue Dobe. I would like to get into Schutzhund. Has anyone on here had any experience with training a rescue in the sport? I'm not looking to be competitive, I am more fond of the discipline and obedience.

Thanks

The only thing I can say is that Nantom has been around a long time, but doesn't breed Dobermans very often from what I can tell. I saw her at the London show in October but she was with a min pin, I believe. I see her out at the shows now and then.

You would be unlikely to do well at Schutzhund with a rescue dog, and some rescues have it in their contracts not to pursue protection activities with the dogs.
