| I guess by that logic, I shouldn't have to feed my dog kibble. I mean... wolves get food themselves. Whew, what a relief! I was spending sooooo much on food! |

| I absolutely HATE the wolf comparisons... I think it's kinda like going to a remote part of the world, with a tribe that still lives in isolation from civilization, and studying the people there to see what humans are like. Never made any sense to me... My dog is as much of a wolf as I am a wild tribesman living in the middle of the jungle. |

Great analogy, Kevin. You're good at coming up with those.

| Friend of mine told me about a doberman, a gorgeous fellow, who lived across the street where he lived down south. He never felt like his owners took good care of him--at night, when it was chilly, the dog used to crawl into the crawl space under the house to sleep and keep warm--and his owners thought that was just fine.
Then one day, after a very cold night, the woman owner came over for help. She couldn't get the dog to come out from under the house, she said.
My friend went over and called the dog's name--no response. So he got down on his stomach and wormed his way under the house.
That's when he found the dog, curled up in a stiff tight ball. He had frozen to death during the night.
Dobermans are not cold weather outside dogs.

LOL I LOVED that documentary. I thought is was soooo cool how after a period of domestication, the foxes eventually started even evolving new tails and colors n such. It's a wonderful thing to be needed by your best furry friend <3 |

| Yah, that did me in.....brought back some memories of a rescue dobe here that they kept in a shed with a light bulb on for heat. They found her buried inside the wall of fiberglass insulation.
Anyone who thinks a doberman is an outside dog even in a better climate clearly shows their ignorance of knowledge of the breed. |

I hate these stories.
I hate even more that they are not just a bit of sensationalist fiction, but are actually and undeniably true.

| | Alpha | People, people, people... You are all SO WRONG. We went to Alaska this summer and spent some time in the back country. I can personally attest to the ranging packs of dobermans. You could hear the infamous "call of the wild" dober whine at dusk every night.
Fierce territorial disputes between packs of dober-wolves and packs of shih-wolves occur frequently. |

He has one hell of a temperament and yes, he is a very large Doberman. That is what we wanted. he scares the pants off of anybody that comes around our house, even though he will lick them to death. I am in the Army and I did my research when I was in Columbia South Carolina and I found Jordan out in the woods. Go ahead and talk crap about him all you want, its ok, but you don’t know him or his dogs like I do. You probably have never have been in a military training kennel like I have. A little background on me is I am a military bomb dog handler that is deploying to Afghanistan in less that a month. Jordan loves and cares for the dogs that he raises with the money that he makes from the dogs that he sells. Every back yard greeder sells for profit. He sells his dogs to pay for food and upgrades to the property like fencing and fence poles and electric wire. Yes, he uses electric fencing because if you have never been in the country and have had to keep animals that want to kill each other apart, you need electric fence. Jordan is 10 steps above Hoytt and Kimbertal. They just make you pay 1000 times more for there puppies than Jordan even thinks of. I know that everybody has there “what I think is best”, but it is ok to be wrong. |
Beautiful dog in your pics, thanks for sharing. Your dog, Thor and 'greenkouki's dog both came from that same kennel and they are two of the best looking dogs on this forum. |

He did NOT support that puppymill by buying from them.

| Does it matter?
Anyone who has that many dogs on one property cannot, IMO, be worth much as a breeder. I like my dogs as members of my family, not as a means of a business or stuck in small cages.
