Home - Wüstensturm Working Dobermanns

I found this site while i was looking at some American workingdogkennels. They seem to have very nice dogs. Does anyone here has a dog from them because the lines are very good i believe

Not directly, but Cash's dam is Ha'Ras Boeing v. Wustensturm from the B litter.

I consider John Kowalczyk my best friend in the Schutzhund sport. Bruno v. Wustensturm, which Tammy Kowalczyk is working, is the strongest male Dobermann I have seen work in protection in North America. I will be breeding Hara to him in December.

The Wustensturm foundation bitch, Evita v. Dragonerriech won the ADA Meisterschaft in a pretty large field, in the middle of a raging heat cycle, by 20 points. When I first got into the sport 5 1/2 years ago they were my mentors in the sport. I met them when training at the Delta Schutzhund Club in Delta BC, Canada. When they left I followed them and worked with a very small group at their home (which also included Pat Brown-John), as they lived 15 minutes from me. When they re-joined West Coast GS Schutzhund Club I followed them there as well. It was a sad moment for me when they moved to North Carolina. Fine people, excellent trainers, and John is a first class helper. Both as a trial helper and a training helper.

John is also a member of this forum, though he does not post a whole lot on any forum. He is also quite knowldgable about the Dobermann working lines. He has also worked many Dobermann's in North America so he is a good resource in terms of first hand knowledge regarding the quality of the dogs.

I don't have a dog from John but I did own Alfred v Haus Mann, the sire of his B litter(Bruno).

Hey Steve,

Thanks for the nice post. I haven't been on here in while and probably wouldn't have come across the thread if it weren't for someone telling me to check out the sight as my dogs were being discussed.

Without getting too touchy feely on a public forum, I've always thought of you as a great friend in and out of the sport of schutzhund as well.

One of my dreams now is for us to compete somewhere together @ a National event or represent the U.S. together @ the IDC. Now that we both have young dogs just a few weeks apart in age, I hope this will come true in a few years.

Cheers.

hamilton, I think the nearest club to me is in Orangeville or toronto... either way its at least a 2 hour excursion. I originally wanted to try out Lexx as a pup on a working field, I was hoping for Ring, but there is NONE in ontario. I was willing to try schutzhund but after finding that there wasn't a club anywhere NEAR me, I gave up.

*hrmpH*

I cannot handle another dog right now anyways, but WOW what a match. Thats going to be some luckkkyy puppy owners ( in my opinion anyways)

I am lucky to have a pup from John K's lines. He is out of Jewel from the B litter. His sire is Caleb v. Warringhof. I purchased him as a ScH prospect and I am thrilled so far.

Leanne, I know there is a ScH club in Niagara that might not be as far as a commute for you if you were interested to check it out... Although I haven't heard of any dobes at the club ;-)

This is the link. Niagara Hundesport

I make the drive up to Orangeville usually twice a week from Oakville. Definitely a hike, but worth it!

I calculated the drive to Orangeville, but the 2 hours each way was enough to deter me I guess. Thanks for that link.

When I get my next dog I'll look around more carefully. For now, I'm lucky mine is alive.. and he's certainly not allowed to slam into a sleeve anymore.

Gorgeous dogs, I'm trying to find a breeder who meshes European lines with American, but shows and works their dogs. Anyone know? ^^;

Hi Kourtney,

I didn't know you were on this site.....

Great to have you aboard! Yes, my puppy, Arek, out of Caleb x Jewel doesn't have an off switch. He's gonna be lots of fun training in the sport.

Good luck with your little guy.....

John K.

Hey John

Thanks for the post. I have been on here for several years now, although I don't post too much usually.

Good to hear things are going well with Arek! Sounds like his brother at this point. Still would be interested to see photos of Arek, if you have any recent ones don't hesitate to send them through.

Take care,

Kourtney
