Has anyone had any dobes from Sharjet? We just lost our dobe from MMM at only 3 years old I'm being very cautious with every step I take in looking for a new companion. I have heard good things but just want to be sure! Also if anyone has pictures of their Sharjet dobes they would be greatly appreciated!
I have never owned a dobe from Sharjet, I have a few friends that do. Sharon Marinelli is one of the best breeders in the Northeast and her dobermans are wonderful representations of the standard. I see her dobermans in the show ring regularly and if I was looking for a breeder she would definitely be on my list of people to talk to.
One of my club members has a Sharjet Dobe. Good temperament, lovely dog, and Sharon's been a very supportive breeder. From what I've seen, I would recommend her.
If you search the breeders forum for "sharjet" you will come up with some good threads to read through. There may be more recommendations for breeders in that area too.
I know Sharon and her dogs - she is a really good breeder and really does do all the due diligence as far as titling and health testing is concerned. There is never a guarantee that a Doberman will live a long life, but Sharon would be a very good bet.
I really like Sharon as a breeder and as a person. I think whatever breeder you choose it should be someone that you want in your life for the length of your dog's life, possibly longer. I enjoy that Sharon is honest, hard-working, caring and she puts a lot of effort into her breedings, health testing and her dogs in general. Her dogs are not only gorgeous but they also have amazing temperaments and workability. She can be hard to get a hold of at times but you just have to be patient. I know very few people who wouldn't want a Sharjet puppy. Good luck.
