| I couldn't agree more with 2rescuedDobies. Well bred or not, dobermans are going to have health issues... so why not give a home to a doberman who could really use it? A lot of times rescued dogs are in excellent health and have had a small amount of obedience training. Not saying they are perfect, they do come with problems, but IMO that's just something that makes rescuing and rehabilitating that much more rewarding. Rescued dogs are assessed and basically temperament tested before they are offered for adoption, the few that can not be adopted out are unfortunately pts. The last thing a rescue wants is a liability issue...
