| King doberman kennels? What does everyone think, obivously i wouldnt get a pup from them simply because they advertise them as "king" dobes,
But what does everyone think of the dogs?
Most of them look really long backed to me.
Anything else worrysome other than the obvious? King Doberman Kennels - Home |

| newer kennel, this is the first year I have seen them in the dogs annual and they had a booth at the sportsman this year, just down from the one I organized with dpcc members. Their dogs were rather coarse looking, and several people who came to our booth commented that their dobes were growling at people! they wouldn't talk to us and one guy told me he had asked if there were other dobe breeders present and their response was not that they were aware off, LOL, afraid of us, b/c they knew we were there. I showed my pup in a molosser specialty, they were watching intently but still no contact with us. The guy who had talked to them had a dobe pup and wasn't impressed when he saw their dogs, but saw me in the ring with mine and waited outside the ring to talk to me, convinced there was no way I was with King dobes. Their booth attracted these idiots who wanted the big guard dogs. I have seen one of their pups in a show, poor girl got ripped off if they told her he was show material, all the dobe people there were shaking their heads and trying to figure out which of us would talk to her. so, just my experience and impressions.

| "KDK is one of Ontario’s most reputable European Doberman Pinscher breeders."
Is that so??? It doesn't take much intelligence and experience to import an adult dog of someone else's breeding, especially a dog with titles, like Gemini, and then claim themselves 'reputable breeders'... hah-hah...
I bite my tongue every time I see posts or claims like this...
Gemini - a beautiful dog that has changed a few owners in his lifetime - all for the sake of money! Iva - sold, I believe, by the owner of Betelges kennel. She was up for sale for some time. And just got sold not too long ago. Same story with Gemini (I belive he was in the US before moving to Canada). Same story with Heidi.
So, what that means is the foundation of the kennel has been obtained only recently - and how on earth have they become "most reputable" in such a short period of time???????
Britton Farms, JKK's, etc - similar story... Oh, we produce the best show dobermans in the US... blah-blah... yeah, surrrrre... The guy bought one 'half-titled' male, got a dozen of females, and breeds and breeds and breeds and breeds same stuff AAAAAALLLLLLL the time... What a great, thoughtful, caring, experienced breeder... *grim* But I don't see ANYTHING that supports the claims... If you are breeding show-quality pups - how the hell will you know which one is show-quality and which one is not if you've never shown/finished a dog yourself??!!
And there are more and more so-called kennels out there. Sad...

| Odd type. Partsie-piecey dogs. I mean they look like two or three different dogs put together. Nothing about them flows together. Horrible outline. Heads are grim, flews, roman noses, weak jaws.
Don't personally know anyone who has one of their dogs, so do not know what kind of temperments their dogs have.
I wonder how many pups a year they breed. |

| Maybe it's their pictures being disproportional or something on their "puppies/webcams" page but their faces look strange to me. Course I know next to nothing about conformation but... I dunno. Doesn't look very dobe to me. I think the bitch's name is "Iva" but under the lip she just has this strange excess of lower lip going on. Maybe I'm wrong though lol.
And Gemini's ear is tipped back really far, is that a fault of cropping or a fault of posting? Just wondering since I'm not an expert on taping either.
Oh and another thing.. is it a "Euro" thing for the dogs to look heavy set? Or just built large? Whatever you wanna call it. (This is an honest question)

| yeah it is kind of like the head doesnt match the body on these dogs, i was just going through kijiji and noticed them there and had never heard of them.
I dont think there is anything remarkable about the dogs i looked at(only looked for a couple seconds though)
nothing i would ever want to own anyways. |

| | Alpha | How can these dogs be champions? what kind of champions? I can honestly say those were the strangest looking dobermans ive ever seen that wasnt sick or mixed.
And i agree you would have a hard time paying me to take one of those.

| How long ago did they buy Gemini Ginga House. I remember emailing the owner of him about 8 months ago. It was out of curiosity because I was not going to line breed on the Del Citone A litter but at least at the time the kennel was Mondio Dobermann's or something like that. The guy said the stud fee was $1500 and every puppy but one had to be altered because he wanted to protect "his" lines. What a joke. I almost asked him what he was smoking but just never responded. |
