Tell me about it, I wasnt even looking for a puppy and emailed 2 well known breeders in ontario and they didnt have the decency to even email me back with general info...thanks for the warm welcome!
My problem with the breeders when it comes to beng a newbie is that people think you are dumb as a post and have no right to own one of thier babies.
Heck I got Saphire from my friend and she got yelled at for giving me the friggin dog and got yelled at more when i mistakenly said in passing that i would just have to wait for them to have a show prospect puppy.
Apparently to some I am not worthy of a show puppy.

Luckily I am to the person i want one from lol

I agree with what was said about them not getting back with you. Why would they not call? There's really no reason if you are a serious buyer. Plus, they would want to get to know you as thoroughly as possible if they want a great home for their pup.

This statement on their website did it for me...
"FOR SALE, LEASE, CO OWN
No reasonable offers will be refused!"
Regarding Gotti EA's Von Waldeck.
At first I kinda felt like they were just starting up with dobermans, have the right intent, etc. but credit cards and sales pitches like that are a turn off.

to me, there are at least two principle factors that maintain the value of the doberman breed:
1. quality. This is supported by all the good breeders out there doing the due diligence, heatlth testing, limited and selective breeding.
2. limited supply. Again supported by all the good breeders out there that breed for quality, not quantity.
BYBs destroy the value of the doberman breed by lack of concern for #1 and/or #2.
So, thank you good breeders for making it hard for me to get my Quincy. But it was worth it
