I'm curious to know....

How many have actually gone to Kimbertal? I've been there, just wanted to know if anyone has actually gotten the whole picture of seeing all the puppies there. On a website it seems like less but they have litters in the back that aren't up for sale yet. Let's just say when I went, the website didn't have a whole bunch listed (I think it may be because people have a chance to buy them before they go on the web) and when I went there was multiple Dobe and Rott litters as well as 4 or 5 in the waiting.

thea2003, of the 4 you mentioned only MIA runs a rescue, she does it privately all on her own and has done so for 12 years{?} or so. The rest of us just LOVE Dobies and want to help whenever we can. You forgot to mention juljules, she herself has been involved with rescueing and fostering for some time, her Dobie Zena {who she just lost recently} was a news story a few years ago, poor Zena had demodetic mange so bad I could not recognize her as a Doberman from all the sores and scabs she was covered with. juljules and her husband were chosen out of MANY applicants to adopt Zena. Juljules is also the woman who went across the border and picked up my Koko Puff and would not take a penny from me for all her time and moneys she spent. I owe her big time.
And about your not being able to foster or adopt thea, well let me tell you, you have ALL the qualifications needed. You have NO money, you Already have a pet. Just like us.

juliabustard, really, you have been to the mass puppy producing kennel.
Hell, maybe we should have a DT gathering there, you know let Anne give us a tour. I wonder if we can come and take pictures. Do you think we could just 'drop' by or do we need an appointment so as to give them a few weeks to make things 'picture perfect'?

Yeah!! We could all show up in Black and Tan robes and hoods (a few reds and a blue or two) and have a late night lynching - our own version of the KKK - "DDD" (Dobermans Done Dirty)

Wow, I just finished reading all of this and I feel a bit grubby. It's been hours and hours. I have learned so much and I am feeling a bit punchy right now from it all. Comes down to this IMO, there are too many dogs out there and mass producing to make even more is nothing but criminal, unethical and vile.
Also, I must disagree about the World Fart Title, Kona Doberman owned that + the Room Clear Championship as well. ;-) Cheers all!

DLS - anyone that helps a rescue is rescue.... Doesn't matter what you do for rescue, every little bit helps because of irresponsible breeders the dogs need every little bit of help that anyone can offer. So for those that can't foster please donate some food to your local shelter or a blanket etc. Until greedy people stop or take responsibility for the dogs they produce the dogs will need kind hearted folks to help. Doesn't matter what you do but every tiny bit helps, the dogs appreciate it.

Well regardless of whether the four of you run rescue or not, you are all there for those dobies!!

So true MIA, every little bit helps. But a lot more little help would sure help a lot more. Did that make any sense?
