| Bodyguard K9 is bad bad news..he imports dogs and sells them as commodity...his dogs dont even live with him...he stayed in MTL and closed down his local taken material from our local club. Then he went in Ontario started selling dogs from everywhere in Europe seems more a broker,
On the other hand di Ravallese is a very dedicated woman named Angela i love her and she has great great temperaments in her dogs...very nice lady |

| Scuba Bob, where are you located? If in ontario I would suggest considering joining a doberman club like the midontario doberman fanciers, lots of support and knowledge available, you can meet a lot of dobe people, pet owners as well as breeders and get a chance to look around at what is available. don't rush your choice, take your time to visit breeders who appeal to you.

She has inquired about my boy Jordan to breed to and I told her he was not ready for public stud and not all testing is complete, but she does breed good dogs! Some are into the European lines, but she wants good puppies from whatever dog she does select! I was flattered that she inquired about my boy.
Hope she inquires when he is older and more ready for studding out! |

| | Big Dog | On your list, I would go with Angela...but I would look into the differences in temperment too...you may like the look but you may not like the personality LOL
Trust me, we have both....I have to say it is a lot easier living with a 50/50 euro -north american line pup than our 100 euro pup....but that is just me. |

| I have to say that Im PERSONALLY not a big fan of Angela's dogs, but not because there is anything wrong with them, I just don't like the look. From that list however, i'd also pick her.

| | Big Pup | Thanks for all the replies people. What are your take on Hundmeister Reg'd Dobermans
They seem good too?. Its cool to know that many of you are from eastern Canada, since thats where the breeders I listed are from and you may have a good idea on what their like. I'm from Alberta and I don't think we have a Doberman club out here in Calgary, thats really active??. I would love to have a pup soon!, like the mid - end of May would be perfect!. But I really want to make sure that I get a good dog from a breeder not one that will die too young or have many health problems. Hundmeister has a female that will be ready in that time frame for me; so has anyone had or know much about their dogs and the health and temperament?. Thanks for the help. |

| | Big Dog | You should definitely wait and take your time, don't rush...you want a dog that will live a long and healthy life and you want to take the time to meet different breeders, even if you are long distance...
Of the breeders that you have listed I only know Angela from the shows and I couldn't offer an opinion on the others, sorry. You should wait if you can until the Nationals, in August, then you will get to meet in person lots of breeders from all over - including people involved in obedience as well as conformation. It will be right in your "backyard" LOL

If you go to Canuck Dogs you can find info on shows in your area, including this one which is the August 1st weekend.
I am [i]hoping/I] to go but it will definitely depend on gas prices LOL
Did you try the dpcc site too? There is a list of breeders on there as well.
