| well since no one else has replied yet I'll give it a shot.
I am in illinois but I have never gotten a pup before. I do doberman rescue. I have heard good things about Bruda. I have met a few smack dab dogs and people seemed happy with them including DT's lapdog. You can PM her for more info and maybe she could help.
Oh and shameless plug but one more thing, if you would consider adopting an older doberman, Illinois doberman rescue has a lot of great dogs that need homes! Just a thought.

| | Lil Pup | I would love to do a rescue, but with two kids under the age of 3 I'm a little uneasy with it! |

| | Alpha | I have an 18mo old bitch from Bruda. There are a few pics in my gallery of Isabel.
Sandi has been great to deal with. Isabel has the best temperament and loves children.
I would recommend Bruda/Sandra Hunter.
I don't know any of the others, so can't comment on them. |

Any info will be greatley appreciated! Thanks in advance! | A few members on this board have dogs from Bruda and are happy with them. I do not know her health testing, etc, so I cannot speak on that.
There has been a thread on prairiefire here on this board, before, if you search for it.
Mary Dependahl has been breeding for a few years at least and I think she has been active in having some titles put on the other end of her dogs as well and I believe that she is an obedience instructor as well? I think she has a few UD's on her dogs, which is no small feat IMO (or am I getting her confused with the Ravenswood dogs... ?????). No idea on health testing.
Kathy Fay with Smack Dab is a good breeder from what I can tell. actively seeks to title on both ends, her dogs are big with the agility crowd and the performance crowd in general in terms of drive, biddability and working ability overall - last time I checked I thought I had her listed as doing pretty complete health testing but I cannot remember off the top of my head. like bleh said, lapdog has a dobe from her, and I've known a couple other dogs from her and all have been nice dogs.

| | Alpha | I don't think someone should sell the puppy at a show price if they are not selling it to a show home. If they HAD a show home they would be selling it to the show home. Obviously they don't have one so they are willing to sell it to a great pet home (I've done this more than once). If they are selling it as a pet, limited registration to be spayed or neutered, no matter if they think the puppy is a show potential, it should be sold at a pet price.
Most people I know sell their pets for around $1,500.00 |
