I would contact rescue and tell them that you would like to hold the dog until placed. Perhaps the will send someone to evaluate her. Evaluations are very helpful to rescue as to finding the most suitable home. Some dobes are best placed in experienced dobe homes or homes with no children or cats or even other dogs. They may even want to do the evaluation in their home. Also if they find she needs it sometimes they will have her fostered to get some additional training and socialization prior to placement. Most rescue's will do the best for your dog and have experience with dobes.
