since we are passionately music people, and David plays doo wop, oldies, R&B, etc, we named ours rock/blues-related names - Blues Traveller (Willie), Reelin' and Rockin' (Rocky), Spanish Harlem Rose (Rosie), Petey Wheatstraw (Petey), and OMG, I'm such a dork... I can't remember the registered name for Thomas - I know we wanted to name him Thomas Dolby or Synthesizer, but I don't think we did... I'll have to look it up. Melody's registered name was Harmony del Littorio. [Alex was named from my grandfather's family name]. Our female GSD was Rocknoll's Kool Jazz. [Baron, our male GSD, as well as Clem, our male German Shorthair, were melded kennel names] Anyway, we tend to stick with music-related things. We've already got some ideas for future bundles of joy...

I think if we were truly active in naming litters I would have SO much fun, because I would use the art world, botany, obscure rock band names, drugs, esoteric colors, spices, gems, fancy gourmet dishes...
