I brought my girl last year, and she wasn't competing. As long as your dog is well behaved and you don't let it rough-house with dogs being shown (not suggesting yours isn't well behaved or you would let it rough-house), people seem agreeable to folks bringing their dogs. But I am by NO means an expert. Last year's nationals was the first show I'd ever been to.

One thing I did notice is this: People would ask, "Who's she by," which I came to believe (though I could be wrong), meant who is the sire. Am I wrong? The Niklby name seemed to get me a healthy amount of respect.

Though this is a remarkable story: One woman gave one look at her and said, "I think I know who bred this dog." And she was RIGHT! She said, "His girls are always so pretty, it seems every bitch I am drawn to comes from Kaywood."
