Monday.... Bla.... But had a fun weekend!!

I hope everyone had a GREAT weekend and 4th of July!!

We went to the International Beer festival this weekend in Seattle. It was a lot of fun.... There were TONS of dogs there and we saw a Black male dobe and a Red male dobe!! Yah for red males!! He was super tall but really skinny. Kinda felt bad for him but we went up and talked to the owner for a few. I guess that they said that he was rejected by the breeder cause he was too tall??? Now I have not heard of this before is that normal? I mean he was a VERY pretty boy. 3 years old. Even though he was tall he still looked like half the size of my Duke. But the owner seemed to be very friendly and cared lots for the boy.

The other black male I felt bad for had his ears cropped but they were just laid over floppy like the owners thought it would be cool but then never posted them.... Now we did not get a chance to talk to this owner but I felt bad cause its like "why bother even getting them cropped then??!!!" AHH!! Now he may have been a rescue or something and he looked good but that kinda erks me a little bit. Just leave them all natural then...

So anywhoo we had fun. We wished that we would have taken our dogs there but usually Seattle is such a "non big dog" event town that we didnt even think about it.... O well it was just fun seeing 2 other dobes when usually you see non around here!! Just wanted to share and ask the question about Dobes getting rejected often for being too tall. I am not into showing so dont know all these things...
