Stop the gender profiling or we'll have M.S.L(male specific legislation). Yes some men are a danger to the population but we're not all bad. My gf likes the Dobes but is very limited in helping out with training, feeding,etc... I tell her all the time that when i find a women who loves Dobes as much as myself she will be replaced, funny part is she thinks i'm joking.

I feel your pain. Donnie is completely worthless for doing/noticing anything with the dogs. If I'm gone at training and he's home I worry about the animals all day. He takes the macaw out of her cage and puts her on her playstand for the day, but doesn't bother to give her food or water. Even when I call him a couple of times throughout the day to REMIND him to make sure Bailey has food and water on her stand he STILL doesn't do it. If the dogs water bowl is empty it goes unnoticed and will stay that way. I really worried when I went to a dog show a few hours away and left him in charge for the whole WEEKEND. I called and reminded him over and over again to make sure the birds had food and water and that the dogs water bowl(s) were full. Of course when I got home Sunday night the cockatiels hadn't been fed or watered AT ALL all weekend, Bailey had no food and no water on her stand that she had been on all day, and the dogs water bowl was bone dry. I could go on and on, but you get the gist of it.

The good news is, even though he ignores their basic needs, he absolutely loves and adores them and constantly showers them with love and affection, which is priceless.
