I make a fruit and veggie blend for my gang. I put them through the food processor, mix with canned pumpkin, freeze in large yogurt containers (have to have some use for the number I have from feeding them yogurt too). I put in apples, cranberries, blueberries, garlic, spinach, carrots, turnip, zucchini, peppers, green peas. Those are the usual, all fresh except the berries and peas (use frozen). I add in things that are on special, depends on the time of year. They love the stuff, I can put it in their bowls without meat and it still disappears quick. They each get 1/2 banana in the morning too. I read an article by a vet and my own vet seconded the ideas, saying that one of the best things you can do for your dog is convince him he likes fruits and veggies- the antioxidants are great for cancer prevention (or I hope so).
