| I cut up a watermelon in wedges and give it to the dogs - OUTSIDE - whole. They eat the red flesh pretty fast then crunch on the rind with watermelon juice running all over.
I also give whole strawberries and baby carrots which are eaten rather quickly. When I am cooking, any fresh fruit or veggies that I am using, with the exception of onions, garlic or grapes is usually offered to them.
I've heard grapes are bad for them, and who wants a dog with garlic-onion breath?
I have found that they prefer sweet things or crunchy things. |
