There are two positions where the divider can be attached. I didn't even use the first one (gives the smallest space). That's for small puppies I guess.. 8 weeks old, or a slightly smaller breed. Thakoon is 12 weeks old now and I decided to just remove the divider all together. I think he likes the crate better now that he's got more room to stretch out in there. And he has yet to have an accident in his crate. YAY!
