I came home today to find Apollo limping badly and crying. After checking out the paw and leg it was obvious that something was really wrong with his elbow on his left front leg.

Our vet was closed for the day, so we went to the local 24 hour vet that we've used in the past. After xrays it was determined that he broke his humerous (sp) right above the elbow joint.

The vet and the surgeon both agreed that surgery was a better option, as just casting it might lead to arthritis in the future or growth problems.

So he is resting comfortably at the Animal Emergency center and will most likely have surgery in the morning to put pins in, make sure they're aren't any bone fragments in joint and just put my puppy back together.

This sucks worse than anything I have dealt with. Athena keeps looking for him and that just makes me think of him in a cage, alone and scared and hurt.

He could use all the prayers/thoughts/vibes y'all have to spare. I will update as I get them.
