Talking Hello From Missouri

Hi everyone, I'm Ray & My Wife's name is Heather, We are from Willard, Mo (Close to Springfield, Kansas City, Saint Louis). I've been reading and posting for about a month and felt as though it was high time I introduce myself, so here we go.

My wife and I have been married for eight years (6-10-00). Three years before we were married a beautiful little girl (Bob) wondered into our life as a stray. At that time she was about 6 years old. She was perfect in every way. After about 11 years with us she past on due to bladder cancer.

Prior to her passing I secretly started research different breeds. I was looking for a full time companion, a family member, a smart, loyal, protective baby that would fit our lifestyle. After allot of reading I decided a Doberman was the breed for us. About two weeks prior to Bobs passing I found that a breeder in a near by town had a litter of four week old pups. I went to look at them and feel in love with this fawn colored female pup we named Princess Isabell. Do to my prior research I was fully aware of all the possible health problems related to the diluted color but felt as though some one had to take on this responsibility and make her life the best it could possible be. Two weeks later (the worst week of are lives) we lost our Bob..........

Two weeks after Bobs passing and still keeping my secrete about Isabell the breeder calls and informs me that she is ready to come home. I made this big surprise for my wife (Heather). I bought her a new to us BMW X5, Had my sister take Isabell and her new SUV to a parking lot that we would be passing on our way to town. I gave my sister a great big sign that read HEATHER to hold in front of the SUV. I told her to place Isabell In front of the them with a with a card around her neck that read. "I am a beautiful little girl named Princess Isabell. I was hand picked and heaven sent by Bob. At first I may seem to be a handful but I promise to love and cherish you for years to come and I hope that you will accept me as the princess that I am." Well this went over very well on are way to town she spots the sign so we pull in. Before we can get stopped she notices Isabell and burst in to tears. immediately she jumps out of the car picks up Isabell and reads the card. To this day I don't think she realizes that she also got a new SUV....... lol

I work on a computer all day so you will see me on here alot. If you have any questions or just wont to say hey don't hesitate.

This could seriously go on and on, so I will end it here.

That is the story about how we got our Baby Dobie. Princess Isabell

If there is anyone DT Forum that lives in my area please let us know.
