| Sometimes the best thing to do is to have the park police # programmed into your cell - if there is even the slightest indication that this dog is being aggressive and/or the owner is encouraging this kind of behavior, then call them. Either this boxer is going to seriously injure another dog or it will meet its match and get hurt. Chances are any humans who try to break up a fight up will get a stray bite as well.
Every dog, no matter what its size needs to be under its owner's control. Most the dogs that create issues at the DP I used to take Java to were small breeds with a Napoleon complex who who charge at the muzzles of larger breeds. Owners were as clueless as this boxer's, thought it was 'cute'. That is until Java turned on the pug after shoulder-checking it for a month - she didn't make contact but she def went devil-dog on the pug. Ever since, that dog would give her a 10' berth every time he saw her. The owner should never have let the situation come to this....
Unfortunately, you may just have to resort to taking Leroy to the park when this owner & boxer aren't there.... |
