Glad your pup stood up for himself and is ok!

I don't think the problem is always just dog owners.....parents can be JUST as bad!!!!

We have had some kids come over our house whose parents have never taught them proper beharior around animals....bad deal. One parent (lets just say a relative) allows/incourages their kid to "torment" their cats.....well guess what? So of course the kids decided it is ok to torment Sabre when they come over!!!! Not good.

Worse yet, when I told the parent to make the kids stop tempting the dog she said "its ok they do that to our cats all the time"!!!!! Hmmmm, declawed cats not quite the same as a 90 lb Doberman...... And you just KNOW if Sabre had defended himself it would have been ALL his fault. Luckily he was VERY tolerant. It got to the point that whenever the kids came over I had Sabre come sit by me the entire time just to keep him/them safe.

I had a boss once that said "stupid people shouldn't breed.....they just make more stupid people"!!!! A little harsh, but normally true.

I haven't had too many issues at the park, but most parks around here require the dogs to be on a leash the entire time.
