| Hi Eric, and welcome from San Diego! You and your wife are going to LOVE being owned by a Doberman. They are the dearest, sweetest, smartest dogs on earth, and they love being part of a family. They love to learn, so sign up for a puppy obedience class, and try to all go together, so you all learn the same stuff. We make up a word or phrase for every cute thing ours do, and whenever they do it, we repeat the word, so they can amaze people with all sorts of goofy things - not just "shake", "speak", "spin", etc... but they know "Gesund heit" (for sneeze), "Garbage truck" (for guarding the periphery of the fence from tyrannosaurus-looking trucks), etc. Can't wait for pictures!
