By the way, we keep him in a 5X8 fence in the garage, with fans blowing on him, of course. I'd like to bring him inside, because we want him to be an "inside" dog. How do we get him to CALM DOWN inside? He won't stop jumping on the furniture or running 90 to nothing for anything. I've tried "NO!", and "TROOPER", but they do not phase him.

We will be getting him trained soon, so maybe that will calm him down??? I hope.
IMO....let him in if you want a inside dog (which any Dobe should be)...Right now if coming in is unusual...then he's gonna get excited. When it becomes the norm...then it will be just like anything else. Plus he's a pup and a high energy breed so some bouncing off the walls is to be expected...just relax and focus on bigger things...you'll do fine. -Our 3.5 month old has always been inside....he just comes in and jumps on the couch...my 2.5 yr. old daughter gets him a "chewy" and all is well....until the cat comes in the room...ha! Of course he's a sun-bather too.
