One simple rule - he gets nothing until he sits quietly. I start that when they're very young and by 5 months, is not an issue. Can't imagine having to start now, lol. If he's alone in the garage a lot, is no wonder he wants your attention every chance he gets. Back to that velcro dog thing. I'd suggest you get into some one on one obedience training - YOU and the dog, not someone else doing it. Best way to bond and get control. You just have to be consistent and not give in to his leaping about. When he calms down, he's rewarded. At his age, will take a while, but definitely worth it. They can drive you nuts, but there's no better breed in the world. Good luck!
