I guess my point was just that they really are good dogs, but for some reason Boxers seem to wind up with really dumb owners. LOL That sounds horrible doesn't it.

Like I said, I think it is just because they are somewhere between "cute" and "tough dog" and more socially acceptable for "families". They can be totally over exuberant though and need alot of guidance and a firm but fair owner (alot like dobes). I don't think most of them (or most that I see) wind up in very good homes. There are ALOT of BYB boxers out there also. They seem to be in pretty high demand around where I live. I know there is a lady here pumping them out faster than you could count.

I think "families" at least think twice about buying a big bad doberman for the kids, but a boxer seems to be even MORE of a spur of the moment purchase.
